Baseline Carbon Emissions
- Baseline Year: 30th July 2023 – present
- Total Emissions (2023-24): 26,807.2 kg CO2e
Guardian Grace Healthcare, as an SME, is not obligated under SECR regulations but has voluntarily chosen to establish the current reporting year as a baseline. Emissions data include our main office in London and account for 5 remote staff.
Emissions Summary (tCO2e)
- Scope 1: No emissions from owned or controlled sources
- Scope 2: Electricity: 1,464.0 kg CO2e; Gas: 3,736.8 kg CO2e (Total: 5,200.8 kg CO2e)
- Scope 3: Business travel, commuting, waste, water supply, and homeworking contribute 21,605.76 kg CO2e.
Emission Reduction Targets
To reach Net Zero by 2045, we have set these interim goals:
- By 2034: 50% reduction (13,403.28 kg CO2e)
- By 2040: 75% reduction (6,701.64 kg CO2e)
- By 2045: 100% reduction to Net Zero
Carbon Reduction Projects
Our strategy includes specific actions for each scope to achieve reductions:
- Scope 1: Transition to energy-efficient vehicles as needed; offset residual emissions via ICROA-approved credits.
- Scope 2: Shift to renewable-backed energy tariffs; implement power management policies; offset remaining emissions as required.
- Scope 3: Local recruitment to minimize travel; promote virtual meetings, car sharing, public transport, and cycling; conduct waste audits, move toward a paperless office, and install water-saving fixtures.
